Our industry-leading hydraulics department boasts a 3500 sq ft ISO 14644 class 8 clean room. All hydraulic and fuel components are built in the clean room to ensure the very highest level of cleanliness. The room fully exchanges the air through 26 HEPA filters every hundred seconds, maintaining a contamination-free positive-pressure environment.
Test Bench Filtration
We use a filtration system on our hydraulic test benches to remove unwanted contaminants.
- Some OEMs require NAS 1638: Class 9 or ISO 4406: 1999 | ISO 20/18/15
- A Class 9 cleanliness level can increase hydraulic component and bearing life up to 3 times as long when compared to new oil cleanliness level. A common ISO code for new oil is 24/22/19
- Our filtration system uses 2 filters in series that are 2.5 and 5 microns with a Beta Ratio of 1000 each
The following test record shows our cleanliness level is NAS 1638: Class 5. This class is expected to increase component and bearing life up to 7 times as long when compared to running new oil.
